AI is real enough that the hype is unnecessary.
Inspect the mechanism.
Narratives matter, but incentives, constraints, economics, and power determine which promises survive contact with reality.
Use platforms. Keep agency.
Good technology creates leverage and optionality without making its user helpless when a vendor, model, or assumption changes.
Move fast. Instrument everything.
New capabilities should be tested and deployed—not mystified—but with observability, reversibility, and honest failure analysis.
